Berlin-Mitte Walk #1

Berlin won't leave you without a feeling. You might love or hate it. My theory, if you visit the city in summer the chances are high you'll like it. The architecture was shaped by the history. As soon you understand it, you start to loving it.

During a visit of Natalie's relative from L.A. we thought – there is no better vantage point to explore Berlin than through architectural photography walk.

We began our photo walk at the König Galerie, housed in a repurposed brutalist church.

We were fortunate to have @konaction as our guide, who led us through Berlin’s lesser-known architectural treasures.

GSW Hochhaus
I've passed this building many times.
Finally it was interesting to discover the story behind it.

It is GSW-Hochhaus. It was interesting to discover how after ackquisition by Rocket Internet, architects had a legal fight to preserve it's beautiful original and unique blinds.

Colourful Facades

The walk happened on the Christopher Street Day! At some point we needed to cross the street for 30 seconds with the parade & crowds. That's when the photo below happened.
