Berlin Hellersdorf

On probably the last summer Saturday of 2025, I did a photography walk guided by Alina Rudya. I discovered her on Instagram, she as a great photographer and artist. In addition to her work as photographer she has build a community and supports other women creatives.

We started in Hellersdorf. It was great there were few locals. People who love photography and have lived there for years, eager to see the area through a new perspective of Alina Rudya.

The ‘Dorf’ had colorful buildings in beautiful light. Alina showed her perspective. It was super interesting and inspiring observing what she sees, framing scenes and spotting details.

I spotted an old Schwalbe framed by plants. We tried different angles later, but in the end, for some reason I still prefer that very first shot.
